Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search box is sent to the outside company that operates that tool. The provider processes the query under its own rules and supplies the response. We do not keep a separate log of those search terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email may be retained long enough to answer and maintain the related correspondence. It is not voluntarily distributed outside our organization, though a valid legal duty may require disclosure.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our systems receive basic technical facts when a page loads:

- Visited pages and approximate time on them

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Mora County Criminal History does not own, compile, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It explains how to reach the Mora County Sheriff, New Mexico courts, the New Mexico Department of Public Safety central repository, and the New Mexico DPS Sex Offender Registry. Visitor data is not assembled into a consumer report or a file about another person. This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Independent companies operate the search boxes. Their privacy notices, retention periods, and disclosure practices apply to information sent through those tools. Review the provider's policy before entering a query because this policy does not control that processing.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Mora County Sheriff, court portals, New Mexico agencies, legal resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor follows a link, the destination's policy governs the visit. Check it before providing personal details.
Advertising providers may use their own technology to measure activity across websites and select ads. Their systems control that tracking.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be available to:
- A government body acting under a valid legal demand
- Advertising networks serving content on the pages
- Analytics vendors measuring traffic and performance
- Search providers that receive a visitor's query
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards protect the information we handle. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, so a breach or unauthorized access cannot be ruled out.
Users Under 18
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. Information identified as a minor's data will be removed when a valid request is received.
Your Data Rights
Applicable law may provide added rights. New Mexico's Inspection of Public Records Act, Sections 14-2-1 through 14-2-12 NMSA 1978, governs access to government records, while Section 29-10-6 NMSA 1978 governs a person's access to that person's state arrest information. Those laws do not turn this private site into a government record custodian. Subject to the law that applies, a visitor may:
- Request access to personal data we retain
- Ask that inaccurate data be corrected
- Seek deletion where the law permits it
- Object to eligible forms of processing
