Why We Built This Site
New Mexico provides several lawful routes to public records, but each office controls a different part of the file. The Mora County Sheriff begins local arrest and incident records. Magistrate and District Court clerks keep charges, events, judgments, and dispositions. The New Mexico Department of Public Safety maintains the fingerprint-supported central repository, while the New Mexico Corrections Department publishes state custody and supervision data. The New Mexico DPS Sex Offender Registry supplies the public registry layer. We arrange those distinct channels in one practical reference without treating them as a single database.
What You Will Find Here
- Record guides: how Mora County court, arrest, and registry channels work
- Official self-review steps: how a person requests a New Mexico repository history from the Department of Public Safety
- Agency contacts: where to reach the Sheriff, Mora Magistrate Court, Fourth Judicial District, and statewide custodians
- Record cleanup information: where New Mexico expungement petitions and supporting court records originate
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. It is not connected to a New Mexico court, sheriff, police department, or state agency. Those limits matter:
- We cannot run an official background check or pull a criminal record for anyone
- We cannot file expungement petitions, records requests, or any other paperwork on your behalf
- We cannot issue certified copies of any criminal record, court document, or rap sheet
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific charge or case applies to you
- We cannot promise that a published phone number, fee, or address has not changed
Only the record custodian, such as the Sheriff, filing court, or New Mexico Department of Public Safety, can issue an official copy.
Search Partners
Search boxes on some pages are supplied by independent providers. Each provider controls its service, prices, and results. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral fee that supports public access to this resource. We do not set the provider's terms, charges, or record coverage.
